Had to place this on one of the development sandboxes I manage:

BRING THINGS TO THE SANDBOX BUT DON’T LEAVE HERE!

The sandbox is for trying things out, not for storage, not for long-term development, nor is it a staging area.

When you are done playing with a piece of code take it out of the sandbox, and store it elsewhere–if it goes in the repository put it there! if you don’t you will loose it and get confused as to where the proper version lives. Don’t leave anything laying around here.

Clean up the sandbox when done, make it nice for the next person, and don’t eat the sand. Cats like to play in here too. Just saying.
